Mfateh,Toronto Report On Multi-Faith Discussion On Affordable Housing, 'Faith In Action'

Return to Main Social Justice and Advocacy Page

The MultiFaith Alliance to End Homelessness and the City of Toronto's Affordable Housing Office have issued their report on the event that brought together members of the city's diverse faith communities to discuss ways to take action to create safe, affordable, accessible housing in Toronto.

It's taken some time - a little longer than they would have liked - to prepare the report, but it reflects well the lively discussion and stirring speakers that made it a brilliant evening.

The REPORT highlights the ideas that came out of the Focus Group Roundtable Discussions and the comments by our guest speakers: Joe Mihevc, Councillor , City of Toronto; Sean Gadon, Director, Affordable Housing Office, City of Toronto; Nancy Singer, Executive Director, Kehilla Residential Program; and, Joan White Director of Housing and Support, YWCA Toronto.

In addition, to a copy of the Report there is also a copy of the brochure, Affordable Housing and the Faith Community, that was specially prepared for faith communities by the Affordable Housing Office.
