Doors of Hope 2013
Doors of Hope is a massive social arts project by 55 schools from 4 school boards in the Greater Toronto Area. It debuted at Nuit Blanche on Oct. 5, 2013.
For nine months, students and teachers from the Toronto, Durham, Dufferin Peel, and York Catholic District School Boards explored the meaning of hope by using doors as canvases to openly express their point of views about social services in the context of Catholic Charities and its 27 member agencies. Doors of Hope also celebrates the 100th Anniversary of Catholic Charities. It serves as a collaborative conscience to raise awareness of social services and the vital and good works of Catholic Charities and its member agencies such as Covenant House, Silent Voice Canada, and Mary Centre.
